Silica Gravels

Silica gravels are a type of aggregate material primarily composed of silicon dioxide (SiO2), commonly known as silica. These gravels are typically derived from the erosion and weathering of quartz-rich rocks such as granite, sandstone, and quartzite.
They are characterized by their hardness, durability, and resistance to chemical and environmental degradation. Silica gravels find applications in a wide range of industries and purposes, including:
  • Construction: Used as a component in concrete, asphalt, and road construction.
  • Landscaping: Used for decorative purposes in gardens, pathways, and driveways.
  • Drainage: Used as drainage material in septic systems, French drains, and landscape drainage systems.
  • Filtration: Used as a filtering medium in water treatment plants, swimming pool filters, and aquariums.
  • Erosion control: Used to stabilize slopes, prevent soil erosion, and create retaining walls.
